Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, and thank you for visiting:
As a Bridal Makeup Artist, I am lucky enough to spend most weekends with a lovely bride to be and her bride tribe. On the whole, I usually stick to contouring cheek bones, lining lips and dousing anyone in the area with a good layer of setting spray. However, it is not uncommon to find me topping up a glass of champagne, rummaging through 8 layers of tulle, so that the bride can elegantly step in to her wedding dress, or calming the nerves of the father of the bride, as he anxiously awaits his daughters entrance. The atmosphere surrounding the big day ahead is truly second to none, and the arrival of the bridal bouquet has grown to become one of my favourite moments. The brides personal style immediately shines through, and as soon as she lifts her bouquet and catches a glimpse of herself in the mirror, she becomes a true "bride".
It was through planning my own wedding that I formed a keen interest in floral design. I enjoyed researching different types of bouquets, and to my shock, artificial flowers had seriously upped their game in terms of quality and accessibility. The fact that artificial blooms could be found in any colour, in any style, at any time of the year, only added to their desirability. As someone who lives for nostalgia, the keepsake element finalised my decision, and I fell in love with the idea of passing my perfectly preserved bridal bouquet down to one of my daughters some day.
In the months that followed my nuptials, I began to order premium quality, silk flowers (polyester/silk blend) from various suppliers, and I turned my attention to bouquet arranging. With Ophelia Bridal Makeup's continued success, I realised that there was no better time to launch a sister company, than in the summer of 2018.
Much like Ophelia Bridal Makeup, the products created at Ophelia Bridal Blooms are 100% bespoke and tailored to each individual Bride. All designs are unique and due to their hand crafted nature, no two bouquets are the same.
Once each bouquet design is finalised, it is then hand tied with a choice of 100% pure silk ribbon. As these ribbons are stained with natural dyes, each roll is unique and will further add to the individuality of the chosen design.
Keepsake bridal bouquets can be created in a variety of different styles, colours and sizes.
Bridesmaid bouquets, flower girl bouquets/wands and buttonholes can be added for an additional fee.
